Rhys is doing great! He is so grown-up! We started him on Oatmeal last week and he loves it! He probably weighs around 22+ pounds and continues to amaze us with his rolling over, sitting up and babbling on and on! We can not imagine our days and nights with out him and are becoming such a wonderful little family! Hope to update more often after the wedding!
Thanks!

Month 4 and Growing!
Greetings blog readers!
Rhys sure is growing like a weed! We think he is 20+ pounds now at 4 months and 4 days! Such a big boy and doing all kinds of fun stuff now. He has been in a home childcare for the last few weeks-we started at the beginning of April and it has gone really well! I'm working M, W/Th/F and off on Tuesdays with him. Grandma Dana gets Mondays with him as well so he is just in childcare 3 days a week.
He is rolling over, grabbing toys, talking up a storm...he even tries to talk over me if I'm talking on my bluetooth while we are driving to and from Corvallis! He blow bubbles, almost sits up and loves to stand on our laps. He is full of smiles and just the light of our lives! We had a wonderful first Easter yesterday and look forward to many more firsts with Rhys!
I will post some pictures from the last couple weeks of him doing some of his new tricks in action! I will also post some Easter pics in his brown corduroy suit! I know you have all been waiting to see the final product of the crib Ryan built so I will take some pictures of that too! I'm also back on Facebook and will try to get pics up there as well!
Thanks for being patient with us and I seriously hope to have more frequent posts in the coming weeks! Ryan and I celebrate 1 year of marriage on April 27th this year!

Update at last! He is almost 3 months old!
Wow...I know it has been awhile but we have been busy! We just had our first flight with Rhys last week to the PAC-10 Tourney in LA where we also got to meet Auntie Tera and Uncle Steve for the first time!
We are off to Houston for the Final Four on April 1st for flight #2! Rhys had his 2 month check up and was 16 pounds!!! I know...big boy! His little cousin Lyla is 6 months and only 14 pounds...what a chunk little Rhys is! We are having such a great time hearing all of his babble and enjoying his big smiles all day long! Today he has decided to roll over and over and loves it! This is my last month home with Rhys and although I'm anxious to get back to work...I'm sad to leave him after spending so much time together.
Rhys will be with Grandma Dana on Mondays, home with me Tuesdays and at a home daycare in Corvallis on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We are busy sending birth announcements out so if you do not see one in the coming week send me your address so I can send you one! We have tons so don't be shy!
I'm going to post some pics for those who have been waiting...thanks and I will try to post more soon!

Almost 8 Weeks!
How time flies! You won't believe the pictures...he sure is getting big and almost graduated from size 1 diapers and 3 month clothes! Geez!
We are having so much fun with Rhys and can't believe all he is teaching us and all the fun we have with him...even with sleepless nights. The smiles are all the time now and I can't seem to get enough! We are heading to Black Butte this Monday and will spend an entire week there-which we are really excited about since it has been so long since we have been. My mom left last week and we were so sad to see her go...Nana was a real pro with Rhys and on the cooking and cleaning side of things! We felt so blessed to have her help for 2 whole weeks and we sure do miss her!
We have chosen a home childcare family for Rhys and he will start in April. For now he will come to work with me a couple times a week and we will work from home. I know I will have a harder time then he will when I have to leave him all day for the first time...not looking forward to that...
In other news...I plan to finish up thank you notes for all the wonderful gifts we have received for Rhys...what a lucky baby! I will also be sending out "Save the Dates" and birth announcements in the coming weeks! If anyone wants to help address I have 500 of each...its a long story...
I will try my best to stay more on top of the blog and post more pictures! Thank you again to everyone who has helped us and supported and loved us for the first 7 weeks of Rhys' life...we are so thankful!
Love,
Ryan, Jaimee & Rhys

5 + Weeks!
So sorry it took us so long to post our next update!
Rhys is getting so big-we will definitely post some new and maybe older pics of him. He was 12.2 lbs at his 4 week check-up and growing like a weed! We are having so much fun watching him grow and learn. He is definitely becoming more and more alert each day and bringing us so much joy! His smiles are contagious and we can't wait to show them off.
My mom (Lenetta) is in town this week and next and we are definitely loving having her around to help. We have been to our first Beaver game too! I'm going to post some pics since that is what everyone wants to see anyway! More to come later!

2 Weeks Plus!
Rhys and I both had our 2 week check ups this week! Rhys was 10.5 lbs and in the 80 and 90 % for height, weight and head size!
Daddy went back to work this week...and we definitely miss him and his diaper changing abilities. Mom has got peed on at least 6 times...in the face...fun! Rhys did have a cold this week but is doing much better now. We have had lots of visitors all week. Monday we ventured to Corvallis so mom could get some work done and Grandma Dana came with us so that was nice. Tuesday Aunt Hayley came over so I could take a shower and she made us lunch...it was great! Wednesday Toni and Chelsea came to visit and Thursday was great Grandpa and Grandma Rouse as well as bath time! We plan to get some stuff done around the house this weekend and then head to Hayley's baby shower on Sunday-our first big outing!
We are still very grateful for all the wonderful meals, gifts, love and support from all our family and friends!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year-2011!
What a year 2010 was for us! Got married in April, went to Mexico in June, bought a new car in August, bought a new house in October and welcomed our first son into the world in December! God has really blessed us and we are so thankful for all of his blessings! We are also thankful for each and every one of you-our family and friends! We feel surrounded by your love and support.
Rhys is now 11 days old and growing like a weed! He weighed in at 9.10 on Thursday-wow! We are adjusting well to a family of 3 and can't really imagine life without Rhys. We find ourselves overjoyed with him all day long! Last night he even gave us 3 solid hours of sleep and slept in the bassinet the whole time-GO Rhys! We also took our first Beaver Nation tour today...we ventured out to Corvallis for the day (5 hours) and mommy got to work a bit while daddy gave Rhys the ultimate tour of Gill and even shot some hoops for him! He did great!
Dad will go back to work full time on Monday so it is going to be tough having my main diaper duty man gone for the day :(. Any takers??? I will periodically go in over the next month or two to get some team travel work done but try to work as much as I can from home.
Thank you for all the food, gifts and overall support from everyone-we so appreciate it!
Love to all!
Ryan, Jaimee & Rhys!
